Accessibility statement for Make an FOI request to Ministry of Defence

This page only contains information about the 'Make an FOI request to Ministry of Defence' service.

- there's no landmark around the back button and feedback banner
- your session will time out after 120 minutes of inactivity

Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the 'accessibility regulations'). If you're not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Technical information about this service's accessibility
We are committed to making this service accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non accessible content
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
The back button and feedback banner at the top of the service aren't contained within landmark regions. This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (info and relationships).
This issue is caused by the GOV.UK layout which is shared across government services. If this issue is fixed in the GOV.UK layout we'll incorporate the fix into this service.
Disproportionate burden
Your session will time out after 120 minutes of inactivity. If you haven't submitted your enquiry yet any information you've entered will be removed from this service. You can extend this limit by navigating to another page in the service, for example by clicking 'Continue' or 'Back'. Because this is a security requirement, to ensure your personal information can't be accessed by anyone else using the same device, we believe that altering this time limit would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.
